About Castle Fun Park

Castle Fun Park has been helping families and friends make their best memories since 1989. With a family-owned feel and fun as priority #1, our promise is that you’ll have fun your way during every visit.

Our story

Castle Fun Park is a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the Abbotsford community for over 35 years. Founded by Hank and Doreen Wiebe, the park has become a beloved local landmark. Hank, a man with a passion for creating fun and memorable experiences, and Doreen, with her incredible business acumen and drive, built Castle Fun Park from the ground up. Now, their children continue their legacy, committed to providing the same family-friendly atmosphere and exciting entertainment.

From Humble Beginnings

Hank’s journey to building Castle Fun Park is a true testament to the power of hard work and determination. Arriving in Canada as a refugee with little formal education, he started out picking onions in Kelowna for just 10 cents an hour. But with a wild imagination, a lot of audacity, and a Mennonite work ethic, he built a life and a legacy dedicated to fun and family.

Overcoming Challenges

Throughout our history, we’ve faced our fair share of challenges, including two intense floods and a closure during the pandemic. But each time, we’ve emerged stronger and more determined to provide our guests with the best possible experience.

Looking to the Future

We’re committed to continually improving and expanding the park. With the second generation now at the helm, we are working on a large expansion project that will bring even more exciting attractions and activities to Castle Fun Park.

Creating Connections

More than just rides and games, Castle Fun Park is about creating connections. It’s a place where families and friends come together to laugh, play, and make memories that last a lifetime. We’re proud to be a part of the Abbotsford community and look forward to continuing to provide our guests with the ultimate entertainment experience.

Did You Know?

Hank Wiebe, the founder of Castle Fun Park, was a child of war who fled Ukraine during World War II. He arrived in Canada as a refugee at the age of 11. Before building Castle Fun Park, Hank and Doreen built a similar amusement park in Kelowna called Scandia Golf and Games. We hope this summary provides you with a glimpse into the heart and soul of Castle Fun Park. We invite you to come and experience the magic for yourself!
